Mission: Wolf Store
Marty Caretaker
Marty Caretaker
Marty is a high content wolf-dog that was rescued from a confined situation in Kentucky. We presume Marty started his life as a pet-a sadly common story for many of the resident wolves. As a pup, Marty was likely happy in his home for a few months. However, as wolf-dogs grow older, they often times become more independent. We do know that he was confined in a horse stall for two or three years, until he was rescued by Jamie Lambert who saw his situation and brought him home. Jamie was unable to provide the necessary support for a wolf-dog so she contacted Mission: Wolf. After several months he adjusted to his new home and started to make friends with the staff. Unfortunately, he was not socialized from a young age so while he is very enthusiastic to meet new people he doesn’t know his own strength or understand limits.
In April of 2022, he was introduced to Saurya, a young wolf who had yet to meet a good match, and the two really hit it off. Saurya, is intense and tough and helpshim learn bondaries while his social playful energy helps her come out of her shell and play about.
